A Free Spirit – ‘Freebie’ – This little liver chestnut is one of Brenda’s longest standing horses and has been with her for over 13 years. A cheeky chappy who is a firm favourite with children and lightweight adults alike.

Freebie is a true professional when it comes to the horse world and it is true that he has done it all!

Before Brenda bought Freebie all those years ago he was owned by a young boy who was selling him on due to outgrowing him, however he loved Freebie so much that every afternoon they used to have a ‘nap’ together in Freebie’s stable!! Frequently his mother would go out to find the pair of them asleep curled up in the straw! To this day Brenda sends his previous owner a Christmas card from Freebie every year as they are always keen to here his latest antics!

With Brenda and her family freebie has done numerous cross country events, show jumping and dressage, he also enjoys a good gymkhana game or too!

Although not quite an O.A.P, Brenda has decided that Freebie’s jumping days are behind him and like any older gentleman he now enjoys ‘light duties’ which in the main involves some quieter lessons with our younger riders or a lovely hack out on a Sunday afternoon!

Freebie is great confidence giver and is an excellent ride for someone who wishes to progress and doesn’t feel quite ready to ride some of his larger friends.
