Brutus the horse

Brutus the horse

Stuarts Moonlight Sonata – ‘Brutus’ - ‘One of the Boy’s!’ Brutus is one of Brenda’s newest additions, however since arriving at Broadbridge Farm has certainly made his mark!

In memory of Stuart Attridge who dies in January 2006. Stuart a fantastic footballer, had the nickname of Brutus and Brenda and his sister Lucy felt it was the most apt way to carry on his legacy. The horses formal show name was moonlight hence the new show name of Stuart’s Moonlight Sonata.

Brutus is a very attractive Dun horse, he is a very good all rounder who enjoys life and due to the location of his box expects every rider who arrives at the riding school to give him a polo!

Whilst he is very docile some might say he is a little too intelligent for his own good! Brutus is the Houdini of Broadbridge Farm and is always looking for new ways to open his door and exit his box in search of food! He certainly keeps the horse accessory world in business and Brenda continually has to find new tricks to secure his box!

Brutus is a very restrained ride and his level headedness is an asset to the group. It is very rare to see this mild mannered lad doing anything untoward with a rider on his back. Although he is frank little chap his personality shines through and he continually has a mischievous glint in his eye which is endearing to all!

‘Brutus is the horse I most like riding. He is very comfortable; he listens and responds to commands given to him. He can jump very well and is willing to go as far as he can to please.’ - Sarah
